Interim Principal's message
Welcome to WCPS Eastside Campus! I am very excited to be your new Interim Principal for the 2020-2021 school year.
First, a little bit about me. This is my 26th year in Education in various roles. Most recently as Smythe Academy’s P-6 Vice Principal. Before that, I was a classroom teacher for 14 years, 6 of which were right here at Hillsdale/Eastside Charter! I truly feel like I have come back “home” in a lot of ways. Once a husky always a husky! (Or a Bulldog!)
I feel so fortunate to have this opportunity to return, and I am very excited for what promises to be an amazing school year in this most unprecedented time. Our staff have worked tirelessly to prepare and deliver the best possible educational environment for your children. My goal is to ensure that our entire Hillsdale/Eastside community are healthy, happy, safe and learn together to reach new levels of achievement. I look forward to working with you to best support our student’s needs, meet their academic goals and have a successful school year.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns or just a good story to share! It is through our partnership that we will be able to do what’s best for students each and every day.
For ideas and activities for Field Study Day, please click on the "Our School" tab and then click on the "Field Study Day" tab. You can also speak to your child's homeroom teacher if you have any questions after reading about Field Study Day.
Please note that students are required to do Field Study Days as part of attending WPCS- Eastside. Students are also required to write a report following the rubric that they will be given. The report, proof of attendance, and, if the student has done a job shadow, a completed questionnaire must be FULLY done and turned in by the deadline in order to get credit for the Field Study Day.
